It sounds like an expensive French recipe.
Last week I saw an incredibly beautiful soutache choker necklace. I was so impressed by it that I wanted to try that technique myself. A soutache is a flat decorative braid that is used in the trimming of drapery or clothing. Nowadays it is also used to make jewelry. In that case it is often combined with beads.
As I did not have any soutache braid at my disposal, I decided to make a flat strip of beads instead. Just a simple ladderstitch. The end result looks pretty much like the real thing. The rubber frog is normally used for fishing and inspired me to make this necklace.
